Rebekah Harman - Founder & Lead Facilitator
My name is Becky, and I am a wife, mother, and passionate advocate for maternal mental health. My journey to motherhood was filled with joy, heartbreak, resilience, and ultimately, purpose. After experiencing multiple miscarriages, postpartum anxiety, and postpartum depression. I realized how deeply our system fails to support mothers in their most vulnerable moments.

My Story
Like so many women, I was expected to push through my pain, both physically and emotionally, without the proper guidance, resources, or community to lean on. I sought help, only to find that maternal mental health was often overlooked, misunderstood, or treated as an afterthought. It wasn’t until I discovered a maternal wellness program that I finally felt seen, supported, and surrounded by others who understood my experience.

Through my healing process, I became determined to create a space where no mother would ever feel alone in her struggles. I started getting to work and becoming more educated in the maternal wellness space. I started by training and becoming certified in Perinatal Mental Health. Next I joined Mom Congress, traveling to Washington D.C. to Meet Senators and House Representative in Congress to advocate for bipartisan bills that support Mother's and Families to be passed. Our group helped raise voice's for Moms and Families and we had a part in getting multiple bills passed. After that I became a certified patient family partner, working with quality improvement initiates through state agencies and hospital systems, to improve the quality of care for future Mothers. Then I did training in peer-to-peer support through Postpartum Support International. I also, have been trained as a full spectrum doula, from birth to postpartum. I did all of this to become a skilled facilitator and guide who's walked this road too.
Then Community Motherhood was born; a safe, welcoming space where moms can be supported by a nurturing guide with both personal and professional experience, share their experiences, support one another, and build meaningful connections. Here, we uplift one another through every joy, challenge, and milestone of motherhood, reminding each other that we are stronger together.

No mother should have to navigate this journey in isolation. My mission is to provide the support, I once desperately needed, to empower moms with the understanding, resources, and community they deserve.

We are redefining what it means to truly support mothers and how to embrace motherhood, together.
