What Rest Actually Looks Like As a Mom

Let’s be honest, rest in motherhood rarely looks like 8 hours of sleep or quiet mornings with coffee.
But that doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to rest.
It just means we need to rewrite what rest looks like in this season.
Real Mom Rest Might Look Like:
Laying on the couch while the kids play around you
Closing your eyes for 3 minutes while feeding the baby
Putting on a show for your toddler without guilt
Saying no to one more thing
Ordering takeout instead of cooking
Letting go of the “shoulds” for a night
Why Rest Matters:
Rested moms have more patience (with themselves and their little ones)
Rest allows your nervous system to reset
Rest models to your children that their needs matter, but so do yours
This season is demanding. But you, mama, are allowed to slow down. You’re allowed to pause. You’re allowed to be human.
That is not weakness, it’s wisdom.
